MEET OUR CREATIVE DIRECTOR, RACHAEL
Owner and Creative Director, Rachael Avara, has spent the past decade immersed in the world of luxury wedding and event planning and design. Her career began in 2013 as the Lead Event Producer at a luxury event planning firm in Baltimore, Maryland, where she successfully managed and designed numerous weddings, social gatherings, and corporate events across the United States. Her expertise has earned her multiple features in esteemed publications such as Style Me Pretty, Magnolia Rouge, Grace Ormonde, and Carats & Cake.
In 2019, driven by her passion for travel and a desire to explore the world, Rachael took a leap of faith and ventured to South Florida, bringing her talents to the realm of super yachts. Specializing in luxury table styling, floristry, and event design, she had the pleasure of working with high-profile clients, politicians, and global brands. However, after a few years at sea, Rachael felt a deep yearning to return to the land and continue to pursue her ultimate passion of creating beautiful, meaningful, and unforgettable events for others.
Rachael's nomadic lifestyle and global experiences have influenced her eclectic, yet timelessly romantic and feminine aesthetic. She believes in using layers of texture and intricate details to craft personalized, refined, and high-style events because, as she firmly believes, the design is in the details.
However, Rachael understands that impeccable logistics are equally vital to the success of an event. She prides herself on her innate ability to tackle any logistic obstacle and guides her clients through an event planning experience that is stress-free and most importantly fun! Clients that come to Rachael for her refined eye, a wealth of knowledge, and easy-going nature, often become lifelong friends. Her biggest joy is being able to work with couples on one of the most joyous moments of their lives.
With her decade of experience in the industry, ROAM Events ensures that every aspect is meticulously planned and flawlessly executed, leaving no room for disappointment. When she is not planning and designing beautiful events and weddings, she enjoys time at home cooking with her husband, Malachi, and playing with their Catahoula puppy, Odie.
